Light a candle in his memory

DR. TIMOTHY J. POLLARD 52, died October 30, 2008 in Barcelona, Spain. Tim was a devoted husband, a loving father and a dedicated physician and teacher. Tim loved music, poetry, Tai chi, cooking for and sharing meals with friends and loved ones. His laughter has now been stilled and will forever be missed.

Tim challenged the status quo. In his early 20’s Tim established a medical practice in a then-remote Alaskan town, a decade later he brought his medicine to the African Bush, another decade saw him as the South Pole’s physician, and most recently he was working toward living full-time in Costa Rica with Xinia, his wife.

Tim is survived by his wife Xinia; his son Turin, daughter Aerwen and their mother Joyce; his parents Wayne and Dorothy Pollard; his sisters Cathy, Terri, Toni; his brother Lloyd; and many friends and colleagues. Tim requested to be cremated and his family invites everyone to light a white candle in Tim’s memory at 12:00 noon EST this Saturday, November 29, 2008.
